2026 Dodge Charger Sixpack: The Return of Gas-Powered Muscle – With a Twin-Turbo Twist!

2026-Dodge-Charger-Sixpack

The 2026 Dodge Charger Sixpack brings gasoline muscle back with a twin-turbo inline-six, up to 550 HP, AWD, and a 0–60 mph time of 3.9 seconds. Here’s everything you need to know.

Muscle car fans, rejoice! Dodge has officially brought back gasoline power to the Charger lineup for 2026—but with a twist. Instead of the legendary Hemi V8, the all-new Dodge Charger Sixpack packs a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine delivering up to 550 horsepower. Yes, it’s smaller, but it’s faster, cleaner, and more modern than ever.

Two Versions, One Mission: Power

The 2026 Charger Sixpack comes in two trims—R/T and Scat Pack—both powered by Dodge’s Hurricane inline-six. The R/T produces 420 horsepower, while the Scat Pack bumps it up to a high-output 550 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. Even with the power drop from the Hellcat’s 717 hp, the Scat Pack rockets from 0–60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.

All-Wheel Drive, Burnouts Still Allowed

For the first time, AWD is standard on all gas-powered Chargers. But don’t worry—Dodge knows its audience. A rear-wheel-drive mode is built in, along with launch control, and Scat Pack models even get Line Lock for those smoky burnouts muscle car fans love.

Bigger, Heavier, Yet Faster

Weighing in at about 4,816 pounds, the new Charger is no lightweight. Still, thanks to advanced engineering, it’s quicker than many older V8-powered models. Plus, it offers 30% more cargo space than the outgoing Challenger, making it as practical as it is powerful.

Styling: Old-School Meets Modern Muscle

Visually, the gas-powered Sixpack looks almost identical to the electric Charger Daytona, with subtle changes like larger front bumper vents, a bulging hood, and dual exhaust tips. Inside, you get a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system, a digital gauge cluster, and the option for luxury touches like a head-up display and 18-speaker Alpine audio system.

Pricing and Availability

  • R/T: Starting at $51,990
  • Scat Pack: Starting at $56,990

The Scat Pack hits dealerships in late 2025, with the R/T arriving in early 2026. Both trims are available as two- or four-door models.

Will the V8 Return?

Dodge hasn’t ruled out a future V8 comeback. CEO Matt McAlear hinted that the new Charger’s engine bay might just have enough room for it—keeping hope alive for die-hard Hemi fans.

Bottom Line: The 2026 Dodge Charger Sixpack is proof that muscle cars aren’t dead—they’re just evolving. With more power than the old base V8, AWD capability, and everyday practicality, it’s a modern take on an American icon.
